Happily Ever After: Alain & Charise Tekurio in Newport Beach

Weddings are such a momentous occassion! There are so many emotions that run into such a day. Butterflies, stress, anxiousnes, excitment, and most of all the tears of joy...

I had the complete pleasure of assisting in shooting this wedding with great friend & photographer Maele Vaitai! I have been wanting to work with Maele aka "L" for a while now. We wanted to collaborate on ideas and basically see things through each others eyes and man was I inspired by working with this woman.
We started off the day the day great. L stopped the car and before we got out the car... L started with "Ralph do you mind if we start off with a prayer?". I said "Yes! No problem!". I was really touched by that because if anyone knows L then, you know she is a faithful church goer, mother, and just the sweetest person to be around.
 After our prayer L says "I am so sorry!" and I said "for what? - I feel so much better now going into this shoot after that!" and I really did. L reminded me of my mother and that everything you do evolves around the Lord and the blessings you receive.
This is why this particular shoot was just that more special to me. Going in with the warm fuzzy feeling, the shoot went great! We were so in sync with Alain & Charise for this wedding. It felt special for them and special for me.
For that L... I wanted to thank you for being the humble person that you are and for letting my radical ideas come off as "edgy" when sometimes I think they are just plain out weird. I would definitely work with you again and we will! You are awesome!

562CityLife.Com is a social media site that covers everything, anything, anyone, and everyone in the City of Long Beach. Business owners, artists, events, and anything that is in Long Beach can be seen on this site. Kind of like Myspace meets Facebook with a twist of Bebo but, for the City of Long Beach...

I was stoked when I logged into the website and saw my lil' piece on an engagement shoot that I did a month ago in Long Beach... there I was logged in and on the front page. I felt like I won the lottery... okay maybe not that exaggerated... but you get the picture.

I know it's not exact publication at the moment but for right now... I am all about it. Anyone that can appreciate some of my tiny little talent... I will RELISH with all the toppings & a soda on the side...

FIDM Fashion Show Debut 2010! - ONE WORD: "SUPERSONIC!"

The "S" is for SUPER... and the "U" is for UNIQUE... "P" is for Perfection... and you know that I am a freak!

Fashion Freak that is...! After this past weekend, I will never be the same but in a good way.

I had the opportunity to attend FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) Fashion Runway Show. I was invited by my cousin Cami who currently works for "Hanes" in Arizona as a retail merchandiser. I was so stoked when she called me and I did not want to pass up an opportunity to see some fashion, art, and models! For those who are not familiar with FIDM's Alumni & Students & roster - It stems from the likes of designers such as: Lauren Conrad from the MTV Show "The Hills", the creators of "Juicy Couture", and thats just to name a few of designers in their repertoire...

I got to tour the FIDM Campus and was completely blown away with the amount of creativity that just came out of that institution. I was a kid in the candy store looking at sketches, designs, and all of the fashionable students!
As a photographer I found this to broaden my palette for creativity. I have even started making some pieces that I will feature later this month - don't laugh! I am not trying to be a designer but, I found that I can utilize my crafty skills in my next shoot! Just wait and see...

I would like to thank my lovely cousin Cami Niko for inviting me and enjoying the whole day relaxing and just talking about fashion and creative ideas. I loved every minute of it! I wish you all the best in your journey for Fashion Product & Development.

Now for the Runway Show... Here are a lot of my favorites! One in particular was a girl (forgot her name) but, she used all organic material... Fiber in particular. All natural fibers!!! I found this to be my favorite with her beanies and knitted outfits... You can see below. The fiber was so real that it was coming off the runway and into my mouth... *spit spit* LOL.

The show was hosted by Nick Verreos current professor at FIDM and contestant on "Project Runway" Season 2...

Please forgive my angles in these photos... we sat in the third row from the front and I could not move around to take photos. It wasn't allowed so, I kept nudging the lady next to me to get some of these shots... I was so jealous of the other photographers that got to walk around... I ENVY YOU! LOL

I am excited to announce my "RM'XD" Photo Collection! This is just a teaser of photos that I have shot and remixed... When I initially shot these photos I wanted to showcase my interpretation of the photos through my graphic background.

These photos have a totally different feel after I  remixed them... I feel like an artist when I take the graphic approach! At least I think so??? All of them are open to interpretation... Read between the lines LOL
